Sex Change Doubt

Hi guys,

So me and my friends were playing for the first time Munchkin and one thing happened and I can't seem to get an answer from any thread here or anywhere on the internet.
And this is what happened to us:

Player A is a male, and has a Gentlemen's Club equipped.
He is fighting a monster and someone uses the Sex Change card on Player A.
So he gets -5 cause the card said so but what happens to the Gentlemen's Club card since now he is a female and thereby he can no longer use it? Does the item get discarded, goes to player's A backpack or he has to donate the card to the lowest level player that can use the Gentlemen's Club?

Can anyone give me some light about this issue?

Until the fight is over, Player A has an equipped Item that gives no combat bonus (because you can't unequip Items during a combat). After the fight, Player A must unequip the Item.

By unequip you mean sell it or donate? Or can he still keep the item in his backpack cause he could change his sex again?

I don't know what you mean by "backpack"; that term is not defined in the rules and we don't use it on this forum. What IS defined is "equipped" and "unequipped" Items. You show that an Item is carried but not equipped by turning the card sideways.

I was talking about turning the item sideways. So does that mean that he can still have the Gentlemen's Club turned sideways even if he is now a female?

Yes. The card says "Usable by Males Only," not "Can Be Carried by Males Only."
