Generic Tethers (USA)
If a player group of Angels goes into a small city and knows there is a Flowers tether, they probably can take a decent guess where it is based on the 4 panel fold out from the Local Chamber of Commerce (The City Park has a Greenhouse!). This would seem to equally apply to
War, The War (though may be confused with each other), Destiny (University of Small City Library or the central Library of the town), Media (WORD newsradio station!), and Stone (the city founder's face carved in the side of Mt. Generic) However some words seem much more difficult. Factions is unlikely and Fate very unlikely (unless you default to the clock in the main square which doesn't seem quite right unless there is actually something evil associated with). Any feeling on the other Superiors? |

Re: Generic Tethers (USA)
I've known towns where the City Council chambers make a very good Factions Tether.

The Wind: the place where everything about the town changed that one day... Stone: the place where the locals drew the line and finally stood up to the gang members - and made the gang back down. Death: the place where the locals drew the line and finally stood up to the gang members - and died where they stood. Flowers: the local soup kitchen / food bank / palliative-care hospice. Dreams: that scenic overlook that everybody eventually climbs with a camera. Nightmares: that scenic overlook that too many people eventually jump from. Lust: that scenic overlook where the teens go to "play" in the forest. Animals: that scenic overlook (or other spot) that no human ever visits, because it's where the animals live: Quote:
That statement implies there's a City Council chambers somewhere that wouldn't make a decent Factions Tether...

I would be remiss in my Lilimly duties if I didn't show up, murmur about the Liber Castellorum and its 11-page preview, and slip away again. O;>
(That said, carry on, carry on!)

Re: Generic Tethers (USA)
Just to add two:
Infernal Fire: The site with the charred ruins of the orphanage the madman lit up, from where the fire spread to destroy the whole street the orphanage stood at. Divine Fire: The site with the charred ruins of the cheap apartment building the owner lit up to get the money from the insurance company after expulsing every tenant mercilessly, condemning families to live on the street. Unfortunately, for the owner, he got trapped in the building after setting it on fire. - Or, to cater to Gabriel's brighter side, the small café the well-known local author visited, always being inspired by events or people he observed there to write another short story or poem. Re: Generic Tethers (USA)
I've always liked seedy strip clubs as Factions tethers.

Any Tether that your side can find easily, the other side can find just as easily... and mount an offensive against.
