Default Combining Improvised magic and Threshold magic

Has anyone done this? Threshold is my go-to system for dealing with consequences of doing too much magic - I vastly prefer it to Fatigue Points - but are there any obvious pitfalls in combining the two?

Depends on what form of Improvised magic your talking about but I would say the only issue is possibly scaling the energy.
I used Threshold (UMana) for improvised magic with colleges being skills and saw no difference.

Interesting choice.
I think of Symbol Magic as coming more from the symbols than a local energy field so would liekly not use Threshold. However I dont see why it would be an issue. The one from Thaumatology is based of the normal magic system so Threshold levels should be balanced.
