The Fantasy Trip Legacy Edition Cover Sketch
Hunter has shared the WIP cover artwork for the Legacy Edition box (which will also be the cover for the In the Labyrinth book).

Re: The Fantasy Trip Legacy Edition Cover Sketch
This is very nice. I like the nod to the original cover of ITL.

Homage to the original... it gives me warm fuzzies... or maybe that is just Orc blood splatter...

Re: The Fantasy Trip Legacy Edition Cover Sketch
The right idea, but the execution is lacking. The figures aren't really balanced well nor situated well physically both individually and as a group, being a bit of a fail on the figure drawing aspect.
Remind yourself here... http://grognardia.blogspot.com/2009/...tasy-trip.html There is also missing the element to draw the viewer in, such as in the original cover which has an orc looking back at the viewer, implying that he is involved and perhaps even the focus of the adventurers as being the biggest and true threat. Definitely not up to the level of the original artwork in several aspects, IMO. |

Re: The Fantasy Trip Legacy Edition Cover Sketch
I like it, though I think it would be better without the speed lines and the blood. Maybe redone as the instant right before fighting breaks out in earnest. Still, it's nice as is, and visually striking. I wonder what it will look like with color.
