Who makes the choices in joint combat
A friend and I were playing and I offered help to defeat his monsters for all the treasure. After he agreed I played the friendly card to keep him from getting levels. Pretty devious. Then he said he was going to choose to fight them anyways per the option on the card. My question is who gets to decide these things in the combat?

Devious, or Munchkinly?!
Sorry. The player who is in the combat makes the decisions, the helper just helps. However, if more treasures are added to the stockpile, you (the helper) can always renegotiate your position and how much reward you demand.

Re: Who makes the choices in joint combat
You can try to renegotiate, but the rules don't require the player whose combat it is to even entertain the notion. At the same time, the helper is not required to put forth his best effort to win the combat, and can even sabotage it, so you do have some bargaining power as helper.

That is what the Friendly card says, so yes.

Sorry but I use the Italian version of card and the translation of the card "Friendly" is quite different :/ It's possible to know what is written on the original card in english?!

Re: Who makes the choices in joint combat
I'm going to suggest that you use whatever the Italian text says. We do not, as a matter of course, verify the accuracy of translations -- we just don't have time to check every card in 15 (16? 17 now maybe?) different languages when they come in. Accordingly, it's probably easier for you just to use the card text you have than to try to fix each discrepancy, except for obvious errors such as the wrong number of Treasures on a monster. (And we do try to catch THOSE. Fortunately, numbers are the same in almost every language.)
Having said that, the original English game *is* the official version, and rulings here will continue to be based on the English text.
