A refreshing idea would be a template for an ancient setting, some "swords & sandals" thing like Egypt or Greece. Naturally with customization notes to convert to medieval or so.

I run and play Cliffhangers, and we sometimes run into monsters. Although I'm not sure I'll get that book. It really is just on-and-off with the occult.
I helped Rev. test out some of the material, and after said testing I wrote some adaption material for Cliffhangers (since I like me some pulp) and ran a few one-shots with my gaming group. They had a blast. Especially after the [FNORD] went all postal upside the [FNORD] main baddy. So Cliffhangers/Pulp is really easy to do with what Rev. came up with.

I plan on using GURPS Horror and Monster Hunters to run Supernatural (TV Series) type game.

I have two players that are big fans of the show and I bought the Supernatural RPG, but the Cortex system didn't appeal to me and it's been sitting on my shelf. I should be good to go shortly.

P.S I've been eagerly awaiting GURPS Horror and Monster Hunters is icing on the cake. It's great that SJG is supporting the core Horror book (Monster Hunters and Infinite Worlds of Horror so far) and I hope there is more to come.

I'll probably do the same as Ghostdancer, as I'm just about to start up my cliffhangers return of magic/secret history/hellboy game.

Well, that's good news. I've been playing Cliffhangers since ´94, one campaign ran until '08 and then the new one took over. Apparently our cliffhanger universe features monsters up the ying-yang in Paris, especially in the sewers and catacombs.

I had a blast with it, I think it might be bigger than DF when it comes out. Like a said, a little adaptation and its good to go. ^^

I suppose that'd be doable . . . if you were willing to seriously tone down the MH monsters so that a group of mere delvers could take them on.

That was actually one of my pet peeves with the MH books by Larry. They got all these fancy pants weapons and they don't barely do anything to most of the monsters. The main character is this super shooter, even compared to everyone else, hits with an amazing number of his shots, and it seems like he's still only managing to take down stuff when it's dramatically appropriate. I wonder how the people who aren't "chosen ones" ever manage to kill anything tougher than a zombie.

Please keep in mind that it would *some* take work! If you look at my post you'll see that I mentioned making some notes for my game. I don't know what I can and can't leak so you'd have to ask the Rev. directly. But it wasn't a challenge to adjust some things around, Jason came up with some *very* clean and easy to use crunch.

Ghostdancer

(gah, hopes he hasn't mislead anyone about the MH awesomeness)
