@Sunrunners_Fire: Care to expand? I hope to start up a Monster Hunters game once MH3 comes out, so tempted to buy, but I've been buying a LOT of GURPS books lately, so I'm hesitating just slightly. I need to restrain myself at some point.

Going to wait until it is in print.

It would be nice though if like LT the PDF preview had a couple more internal pages so we could get a sneak peak.

Black-and-white Hardcover is a bit strange...
Up to now it was either Color Hard Cover (expensive but best quality) or Black and White Softcover (lower price), wasn't it?

Areas that I'd like to direct readers to: "Be Thou Not Afraid", page 95 (how angels can be terrifying); Stress and Derangement, pages 141-152 (psychological counterparts to Fatigue and Damage); and Power Corrupts, pages 146-148 (a toolkit for making just about anything the GM wants hazardous to your moral health, from the use of exotic Powers to spending the night in a demonic abode).

I'm a very happy camper right now. :)

Yeah, I'm not happy about the current decision, I can only hope that when it goes to print it will be a full colour hardcover and leave B&W to POD releases. Fingers crossed.

Mechanical bits for the most part: (Ignoring the templates for the moment, though those are going to be useful as well.)
  • Damage Resistance limitation
  • Injury Tolerance (Diffuse) enhancements and limitations
  • Insubstantiality enhancements and limitations
  • Published/Official version of a Regeneration limitation I've been using
  • Disadvantageous version of Alternate Form
  • Modified Unfazeable
  • Leech enhancements and limitations
  • New Corrupting general limitation
  • New Perk
  • Modified Addiction Rules ... nasty ones. I like!
  • Two new categories of Compulsive Behavior
  • Two new categories with multiple kinds of Delusions
  • New Social Stigma
  • New Supernatural Features
  • New Panic Attacks Disadvantage
  • New Skill Specializations and Techniques
  • Detailed Fright and Madness Check stuff, including Tumors!
  • Power Corrupts, as it is a lovely temptation mechanic for that little extra boost that you need right now ...
And stuff. :)

Done! (This was on the list for today, but "get item up for sale" trumped "get a fat preview done" by a few hours.)

Enjoy your glimpse into madness . . . if you dare! :-)

I should push my luck and say it would be great if the Biliography was up too.

Excellent news! Imagine the GURPS Cthulhu, GURPS Midnight, and GURPS Ravenloft that can result from this new sourcebook!

:happydance:

Sadly, the bibliography isn't up to the ridiculous standard set by Tactical Shooting - rather than give specific examples of things in Horror that the various shows/books/games/movies/etc have examples of, it's more like a 'this is a list of different things that are in this genre!' kinda deal, with, for example:

Quote:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003). Possibly the best continuing horror TV series ever, and a model of story-arc development. Easy on the eyes, too.
Sure, this is useful (especially the nonfiction section), but I really liked Tactical Shootings' bibliography, for example:

Quote:
Band of Brothers (Tom Hanks and Erik Jendresen, 2001). The men of Easy Company, 506th PIR – all Assaulter stylists – demonstrate realistic application of skills and perks like Guns, Soldier, Tactics, and Battle Drills, and the use of the M1 Garand (High-Tech, p. 113) and Auto-Ordnance M1A1 Thompson (High-Tech, p. 122). The series vividly shows the effects of being under fire and features the correct sounds of ricochets and bullets whizzing by.
I had hoped that future SJGames books would use that kind of bibliography style.
