Default Re: Wall Innate Attack - Encase the target?

This older thread might help with the height question
http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=70655
each section of the +30% wall is 3yards wide x 1 yard deep (thick) x 4 yards high.
I would treat a rigid wall as material of its DR/HP that is 1 yard thick for purposes of determining the DR of a thinner version... if I felt like doing math.

Material isn't mechanically relevant in Innate Attack Walls, correct? I could have a 1 yard earth wall of 24 DR and I could have a 1 inch think 'more dense' earth wall of 24 DR, correct?
I'd allow it as a predefined Feature, at least - the wall is thinner but stronger per unit thickness. Note that at this point it's no longer the same material (although magic can make such definitions difficult), and also that doing so wouldn't give you the option of stretching it out as Hellboy is suggesting.

See B558-559. Also the Pyramid Armor Design articles. Also every discussion of GURPS DR ever. GURPS DR is defined based on thickness (DR 70 is 1 inch of RHA steel), so if you make the same material thinner, it has less DR.

"You get a three-yard-long by one-yard-wide wall per yard of radius in your area."

Let W = a three-yard-long by one-yard-wide wall
Let R = Level of Area Effect Enhancement = Yards of Radius in your Area.

You get W * R

You get R units of W. If I order 20 fence segments, I don't get a giant cube.

If you want a cube, use Area, not Wall.

One wall of contiguous segments, not multiple walls. Think of it as chain where you are increasing the number of links. Depending on the level of wall, you can put them in a fixed pattern or change the pattern every time you cast out a wall made up of those segments.

How would that problem be addressed?
This is why Zagyg, in all his wisdom, created GMs.

Must these segments be perpendicular to one another? Must they run horizontally or could you stack them as a very tall wall?
I've always treated +30% as a fixed pattern (defined at purchase) and +60% a variable pattern (set at each use).
