Default Modern day

Anyone know of an adventure for a confined space, like a building or a ship, preferably for the modern era or adaptable to same?

If by "modern day" you mean "set in a reasonably-cinematic version of the real world", then both cop shows, some action movies, and certain video games suggest various scenarios (and their counter-parts for "villain games"):
  • Hostage-rescue.
  • Emergency rescue (building is collapsing/on fire/etc).
  • Counter-insurgency.
  • Certain heist movies.
  • I don't know what to call this, but "Capture suspect without making a fuss/alerting potential accomplices."
  • Find and diffuse a bomb.
  • Infiltrate underground social event.

If you don't know why I said something, please ask. Assumptions are the death of courtesy.

Disappointed in the behaviour I have too-often encountered here.

There's the entire subgenre that TV Tropes calls "Die Hard on a X"

Are you talking a pre-packaged adventure for GURPS or something more general?

If it's more general anything in a prison can work....

Yeah, that looks like a fun adventure, but...no.

Okay, I'll be a bit more specific.

I'm about to start a new campaign. The PCs are hollywood normals - 100pt competent but not hardened adventurers. The other shoe will drop on them in a few sessions but I want a short-ish adventure they can fall into while they are contained on a cruise ship.

Actually, the tv cop tropes suggested earlier could work as foreshadowing for something later. Finding/disarming a bomb (if someone takes the right template) seems possible.

Something prepackaged would be nice if there was something along those lines.

Not for this game but that would be cool. My group isn't big on horror. Doesn't stop me from dropping Eldritch horrors from time to time, though.

No adventure but a map https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product...ps-Cruise-Ship

I opened a Gurps Space 1889 campaign with Fenians trying to hijack the ether liner the PCs were on as they went to Mars.

This might work. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product...Aquatic-Terror
A story of frightening disappearances in the coastal resort of Warm Rock, California! Only the protagonists can solve the mystery and stop people from vanishing.
A tale of horror at sea as a pleasure yacht finds itself caught between iguanoids, a U-Boat, and the US Navy, with the yacht’s passengers forced to take action to survive their vacation!
A mystery in Portland, Maine, where the Prefecture of the Pod engineer a conspiracy to take control of an important government official, and only the player characters can stop them!
A journey of aquatic menace as the passengers of the Rose Marie luxury cruise liner encounter a plethora of threats on what is supposed to be the transatlantic journey of a lifetime!

The last one seems perfect - I took a chance on it and am downloading it right now. Thanks.
