Level Counter Boon: Elf-Confidence

One of the boons in the Level Counter App is titled Elf-Confidence
Elf-Confidence
Reveal this boon during any combat in which you are the helper. You will get a level if the munchkin side wins, even if, for some reason you are no longer the helper at the end of the combat! Usable once only.

My questions:
1) "Munchkin side wins" includes non-kill wins. That suggests you can get a level even if the main munchkin does not.
2) I figure the standard "No kill, no level 10" rule stands, but would this level let you get the winning level if a kill is involved? What if you are not the helper, but a kill still occurs, can you still get the winning level?
3) Does this boost stack with the Elf Race ability?

At the start, I want to emphasize that the boons tend to be a bit loosely worded. I'm answering with this in mind.

That wasn't the intent. It has to be a kill.

Yes in both cases; it's a level gained as a result of killing a monster.

No. They derive from the same source (Elfishness).
