Nope :) Nothing new there at all.

But for gaming purposes, what on earth could have been "something new" found in such ancient math texts?

Well, a simple proof of something very hard, like the four-colour theorem or Fermat's Last Theorem, would be astonishing, especially if it was correct. Not that the ancient Babylonians really used the concept of mathematical proof, but discovering tablets about that would only revolutionise history, not mathematics.

Of course, finding a number of tablets about things the Babylonians couldn't have known, like Pluto, or quarks, leads us straight into Madness Dossier territory.

A seven-year-old schoolgirl has pulled a sword as big as she is from Dozmary Pool -- the Cornish pond where King Arthur was said to have returned Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake.

She's Queen now, you know. Them's the rules.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!

So I was randomly doodling around on Google Patents, as one may be inclined, and came across these tidbits that could be useful for some brand of techpunk.

a) An 1890's Russian inventor's exoskeleton-
Apparatus for facilitating walking

b) I think the intent was heartfelt, but the result seems rather diabolical-
Apparatus for facilitating the birth of a child by centrifugal force

c) And of course, you can check out all of Tesla's patents-

Sometimes you just find things on Etsy.

https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/NooboSlowpokoPanda

I want these to be a thing in Dungeon Fantasy.

Does give the Druid something to do.

Noble lady hiring party "all you need to do is sneak into her garden and get me cuttings so I can win at this years flower show".

Fee me, Seymour.
I guess those flowers at the end of the movie had descendants.

***** Willows, Dandelions.
Then my mind wanders to Pokemon puns:
Bulba-makeyou-saur, Lick-a-tongue (to see if you're tasty), etc.

Edit: I was afraid the profanity filter would catch that one flower. I meant it as a pun on cat and flower. No harm meant.

According to this not-at-all over-hyped story, although Cephalapods are usually thought to be loners, some octopuses have built a giant underwater city named Octlantis.

Nope; no possible way to tie this into a Call of Cthulhu campaign. Move along.
