I prefer them monochrome; they're old-school!

Stand-Ups or 3D minis?

I too. Single colors go well with the Prog Rock-ish art style.

I'm also cool with the inking of our existing legacy edition counters. I'm pretty profoundly color blind, so it wouldn't add much to the aesthetics for me if they were colorized. And there is a good chance they would end up busy looking. This is one of several reasons why I don't personally like the 'fold and stand' cardboard heroes.

Does the 3-D nature of the Lego minifigs help you visually distinguish the figures?

No. They make me feel like I'm playing a video game from the 1980s.

And because three is the charm, we are going to do a new playmat for this campaign. It will be 36” square (!!) and will be Dyson Logos’ interpretation of Skarg’s Tavern from In The Labyrinth. I have an article detailing Skarg, and his skeevy watering hole, in Hexagram #5, and this is the perfect go-with. But start picking up pennies, because the big mat will be $50.

$50 for the mat only or as part of a bundle?

The playmat will not be listed as a separate item on Kickstarter. The larger playmat will cost $50, which will be added to the cost of the reward levels that include the playmat and other items.

The Kickstarter page, once we launch, will have the specifics.

A 3'x3' playmat with a complex interior terrain (which I assume will be the case for something like a tavern) is going to be amazing. We are having a great time playing set-piece rumbles using the existing mats, so I'm already rubbing my hands together like a movie villain over ideas for this one.
