Other mega-map options:

M7-M4-M3
M5-M1-M6

and

M3-M4-M7
M6-M1-M5
(these use each map once. M6 and M7 were in part designed to fill these gaps. I expect to see scenarios designed for either or both of these designs . . . Just sayin'!)

Two others that almost work using each map once are:
M5-(M7)
M4-M3
M1-M6

M1-M5
M3-M4
M6-(M7)
You will need to tweak things a bit for the western edge of M7 for both, and the northern edge on the second.

Another group . . .
M1-M5-M1
M7-M4-M3
M5-M1-M6

D.

For a visual, image here shows all the connecting edges of M1, M3, M4, and M5 (will update if Drew can post M6 & M7 flat views): https://www.facebook.com/groups/1148...6883592033770/

I took photos of M6 & M7 so I could upgrade my visual guide to mat tiling; results over here:

OMG, Cat! You can play a mighty huge scenario on that. Say... "Body Blow" for example.

I remember when the idea of roll-up rubber-like maps was first floated. The general consensus was: "Cool idea, but probably won't happen." Now we've got seven types of them available to us and I would guess that more are forthcoming through future crowdfunding.

Out of curiosity are the playmats a seasonal thing or something? I ordered M4 as part of my Battlefields KS which arrived today; I love the mat so I immediately went to W23 to order the rest but all I could find were M6 and M7 (which of course I ordered!). Are the others unavailable? Is there any way to get them?

Because they are a rather niche item, SJ Games prefers to offer them alongside crowdfunding campaigns. That way they know exactly how many to order each time.

I totally understand. I was hoping they'd be available via the OGRE Miniatures Indiegogo currently running but it doesn't appear so sadly.

Phil has mentioned that they're keeping that one pretty limited in terms of rewards, because the key goal is the creation of the tooling to make those miniatures.

I very much hope we'll see the playmats in a future project. I also hope we'll see still more playmats.

(I also need to get on with a good way - a flat tray - for storing them.)

Phil also mentioned in the IGG thread:

Quote:
As to playmats: If we do use BackerKit, we'll offer all seven of the Ogre playmats in the BackerKit stage of the campaign.
So that's still a real possibility.
