SHVY gets first shot: 1/6th chance of damaging the town, 1/3rd chance of reducing a squad and 1/6th chance of clearing the town.

Half the time the full platoon survives and their return attack has a 1/6th chance of Dinging the SHVY and a 1/6th chance of killing it. If they've been reduced then they're helpless.

4? Getting a 1:2 on a D9 stack takes 5 LGEVs. If you're using terrain destruction rules you can rubble the town and do it with 3 LGEVs. Either way it's going to take a while.

4 LGEVs have an easier time rubbling the town, though you could achieve that with 2 and patience.

And if they have backup somewhere, rather than just being 4 points worth of infantry abandoned in the middle of nowhere, you've parked a superheavy right in their sights...

Hmm...LAST STAND: A company of Rangers has been ordered to hold at all costs.

Major Smith looked at his orders one last time before briefing his men via the commlink. "Hold until relieved." He keyed the link on the company command frequency, and spoke.
