Default Multiple attacks with Staff?

Could someone please help me out with this: I understand if I take Extra Attack and Ambidexterity, I can attack twice and parry twice at no penalty with (say) two broadswords. But if I have a staff, can I do the same?

Any help much appreciated! The 4e rules on dual attacks seem quite... spread out!

You need the Multistrike enhancement from GURPS Powers p 49 to use Extra Attack with the same weapon.

If its just with the staff its cheaper to rapid strike with high skill levels.

You don't need Ambidexterity for the staff, multiple attacks with a two handed weapon fall under Rapid Strike builds.

As mentioned Extra Attack requires Multistrike enhacment for reusing the same weapon, but that has the same value as the 'one skill only' limitation. Aso together no change in the Extra Attack cost

Rapid Strike at -6/-6 to attack would give you two attacks without needing extra attack, and no penalty to parry

Weapon Master (Staff) would give you rapid strikes of -3/-3 with no penality to parry either. it also open up high skill rapid strike with even more attacks

Thanks for the replies. I am trying to avoid cinematic rules, so Trained by a Master and 'Powers' may be out of bounds.

Just seems odd that you're better off with the staff cut into two clubs. Then you can Rapid Strike with one hand *and* get the extra attack from the other.

Extra Attack (Multistrike) isn't any more cinematic than Extra Attack by itself.

And not get the benefit of the staff parry bonus, reach, and do less damage.

Save your 25 points and buy up your Staff skill by 6 points. Bam, you now rapid strike at the same skill you had before AND are massively more lethal with single strikes. And you saved a point in the bargain.

It's not really equivalent. With Extra Attack (Multistrike) he could attack three times (-0/-6/-6) with a Rapid Strike.
