Does the UMP9 use different magazines than the UMP40? Because that's plastic and listed as 0.38 lbs. in the operator's manual.

We can round to 1.1 or 1.2, depending on our kindness and whether the mag is completely clean or not. It comes out to 1.16 lbs. for the magazine, 4.63 lbs. for the empty gun and a total of 5.79/1.16.

I guess we call that Weight: 5.8/1.2.

I don't know, I have my info from a old Guns and Ammo review.. there they state that the magazine weights 0.22 lbs empty versus the mag from MP5A3 that was heavier (don't give any number).

Maybe the spring system is lighter? Donīt know.

I did a little googling and found the comparison of the .40, .45 acp and 9x19 mags. The .40 and .45 mags are bigger and heavier, the size difference between 9x19 and .45 ACP mags is alot! the 9x19 mag is about 65% of the size of the .45 ACP mag.

Also I went back to the article, they were testing the UCS or the civilian version of the gun, they only got a 10 round mag.

I stand corrected, I read the article again, the .22 Lbs mag is the 10 round mag, the 30 round mag weights 0.34 lbs.

Thank you, Hannes665 and Icelander. I assume the LC is typically 2?

Indeed it is, unless you are looking for the UMC.
