I played in a super-heroes (possibly Aberrant) one-shot a few years ago, based around the Mystery Men idea. My character - inspired by a Kenny Everett sketch - was the Flying Rabbi ("up, up and oi vey!"), who had the proportional strength of an octogenarian rabbi.

Possibly the best bad superhero was The Chauffeur, who had fantastic superhuman strength, stamina and agility... inside his car.

Did everyone in the world take a backseat to him?

oh, a power that Brights have that has some roleplaying potential if nothing else - every time they look in a mirror they can see their own Needs....

A few questions.

any ideas what kinds of musical notations a bright is likely to favor.

as it describes every other choir and bands approach to songs in liber canticorium.

If this was allready "asked and answered" Im sorry, but somethingi ive heard a person or two wonder about , is this, are brights able to use liliths rites safely.

Some say it would be cool, as her rites tend to involve "relatively benign things"

On a tottally unrelated question... I KNOW I asked this somewhere else, but couldnt find the old post...

was asking for advice on "how long you let a dead NPC Celestial stay "out of PC's hair" before they revive."

Oh, it has to be asked. If a Bright looks in the mirror and sees her own Needs, if she fulfills one of them, can she Geas herself? :D

You laugh, but self-Geasing actually is canon. :)

One of the Brights in our campaign got herself into big trouble with a carelessly-worded self-Geas. She had a tendency to impulsive behavior, so she had promised that she would always call her "sister" before executing any plans likely to harm herself, mortals, angels or angelic plans. She also promised that she would automatically renew the Geas every year until she heard from her sister that she had "grown up enough."

Neither of them counted on the Bright getting kidnapped by demons and being in a situation where she couldn't communicate with her Sister. (She'd been locked in a pair of artifact handcuffs that kept her from using Essence for any reason, even to assume celestial form.) So when she made her big escape, every risky move she made got her more and more dissonant ... for a while, it was becoming a race to see if she would be rescued/make it to safety before she either became Outcast or Fell!

Oh

curious

on Geas stripping think Dominic or Laurence would give a bright in their service a choice in the matter.

as Dominic in particular, would likely see any Geases owed to to hellspawn, or possibly worse having been traded to etherals, mortal sorcerers, other archangels, etc, as a serious security risk.

Laurence, same thing but ordering them through a agonizingly painful, and potentialy fatal process, isnt a good way for him to get more brights in his service.

Thoughts?

If you don't want to go through a bunch of agonizing and possibly fatal processes for no other purpose than bringing the Symphony a little closer to perfection, don't become an angel. (If you're already an angel, quit being one.)

(I'd rather Superiors not be able to strip Discord at all, but that's an orthogonal matter.)
