Default DF how do you limit non standard magic damage?

I was wandering, standard magic has its damage capped with magery but the other systems do not. In a setting where more different systems of magic exist, how do you handle? In my setting i have RPM for druids; runic magic; clerical treshold magic for clerics; sorcery for sorcerers; alchemy and so on.

I was thinking to cap the damage for RPM with half of thaumathology level, for example; sorcery with 1,5 the sorcery level.

In this way the average player will have 7-10d missile spell.
Should look fine, but, i'm curious to hear your thoughts.
