Default How to model Progressive Allergy Syndrome

I've got an idea I want to use for a character:
He's a dimension-hopper. He actually gains a progressive allergy to a dimension/world, and must leave it at some point in order not to DIE! But no longer in that particular dimension he recovers.

It could be generalized to something more generic, hence the thread title.

I was thinking something like this:
Dimensional Allergy Syndrome (9-/monthly)Dissonance (9-/monthly)Recovery

Might be able to vary both the frequency of dissonance/recovery and the time period (daily/weekly/monthly/yearly)

How to model? How to cost?

How long would he be able to stay in a dimension if it takes HP? How long if you have till HP*5?

Any other ideas?

Also, how to set up the mechanism? Progressive suppression of HT?

What if he gets to a world where you can enter but not leave by normal (or for that matter, any) means?
