Default Minis vs version 6

Hey all,
Are there any real differences between the minis rules as opposed to the version 6 rules other than using plastic instead of counters and using inches instead of hexes?
I.e. is it 6mm wargaming with terrain or just being able to paint your own forces?

The miniature rules are for table top wargames with terrain. The ground scale to figure size is very large, which results in some abstraction from WYSIWYG, but it plays well on a large enough table.

Off the top of my head, bridges have size/weight limits, terrain can block LOS, the radiuses for spillover fire change with the number of attack factors involved, unarmored militia infantry are a thing, and I vaguely recall something in the rules making cruise missiles enormously more useful against Ogres for some reason.

EDIT: Oh, and jammers and jamscreens are a thing too.

All of that sounds really good, I like the idea of militia and LOS, jammers are more realistic for modern/near-future/future large scale warfare.
Thanks for the feedback, I didn’t want to shell out another 15 bucks for basically the same game.
