Default Cruise Missile Detonation Chart

I've created a version of the Cruise Missile Detonation chart in Google sheets that conveys the same information in a significantly more readable format:

It can be viewed here:

Let me know what you think.

HeatDeath,
You know, until I looked at your chart I never quite realized that Cruise Missiles never damage anything at 3:1 odds.

a) Why is that??
b) Well done, sir.

I think it's because they want the strength of the attack to fall off geometrically, i.e. every extra hex halves the amount of destructive energy hitting the target. X->4->2->1->0.

Yeah, my big motivation for doing the chart this way was to really see how the damage falls off over distance, and how that varies by target type. The changes I made were 1) to add color, 2 ) to add a full column for each hex of range, instead of trying to collapse and compress them the way the original chart does. [I don't have Shockwave, but I can only conclude that they were really cramped for space.] And 3) I reordered a couple of the rows so that the most delicate targets are at the top. This made the colored range bands form that nice curve from upper right to lower left.

Nice work. It makes it a lot easier to determine the effects of a cruise missile detonation.

I did something similar for my games, too. One thing I did to speed play was to consider town and forest hexes automatically destroyed out to four hexes and automatically damaged at five- or six-hex range. By avoiding rolling, it saves time when you have a detonation in the middle of a lot of town hexes, as happened in my convention game.

I think you'd be right.
