Any word on Battlefields?

Just to be safe I crossed my eyes too, but now I'm getting a headache. :p

Honestly, being a part of Battlefields is my desperate hail mary. I'd much rather track down the forum member who apparently used to have a store and had a ton of ODEs sitting in a storage unit...keep the sale in the family, so to speak.

Let me (unfortunately for you) quash this right now. It will not be part of a Battlefields KS. The only maps in Battlefields should be G3 and S3.

We had the Giant Battlefield Set on sale last month during our end of November sale. Plus they do occasionally show up on third party seller sites - each one recently sold for $10 on Ebay. And with patience, complete ODE sets can be found at reasonable prices as well - there's one on Ebay right now for $40 (shipping is high, but still the overall cost is reasonable).

You will be best served looking to acquire these maps from one of these options, as well as those you mentioned.

I figured it was a long shot at best. I saw the sale and wish I would have been able to jump during November, but I had to choose between maps and Set 2 minis. I chose wisely. ^_^

Ah, the only reason I asked is because someone made a comment a couple months ago about something happening with Battlefields in December. So I wasn't really reading a date into anything so much as taking a given month (not a specific date) literally.

I'm glad to know things continue to move ahead and miniatures set 2 is getting the attention it needs, not that I ever expected otherwise.

My main reason for wanting to have an idea on when we can expect it is that I don't make a lot of money, and I want to make sure I can pay for the kickstarter.

I am hoping for a Kickstarter in early 2018 but there are many competing priorities. It does Ogre no good to run a KS back-to-back with either other Ogre campaigns or other SJG campaigns. As you have rightly implied, gamers' dollars are limited and need to be spent wisely. Plus we really want to ensure that we complete a project (or know that it is well on its way to completion) prior to making additional promises.
