Let's say the attacker is facing a target. Caster wants target to be pushed to the caster's left. Caster places the cone's origin at the target's right. Target has -2 to defense because SIDE ATTACK pwnt!
I'm not sure if Ranged covers that? |

Claymores are emplaced. You'd want Cone and Triggered Delay for them. They certainly aren't Ranged.
For that you want the surprise attack varient of Overhead as well. |
