Default Innate Attack (Cone, Ranged? )

How can a cone attack have a point of origin that isn't the attacker?

I don't see a problem with both Cone and Ranged or Follow-Up and Cone on the same attack. Cone isn't a penetration modifier.

Let's say the attacker is facing a target. Caster wants target to be pushed to the caster's left. Caster places the cone's origin at the target's right. Target has -2 to defense because SIDE ATTACK pwnt!

I'm not sure if Ranged covers that?

Claymores are emplaced. You'd want Cone and Triggered Delay for them. They certainly aren't Ranged.

For that you want the surprise attack varient of Overhead as well.

That is exactly the correct solution. It is amazing what a bit of reading can accomplish. Where is the surprise attack variant?
