Releasing a Binding target early
Binding doesn't have a duration on it - it seems to last until the target can escape or someone breaks him out of it.
I suspect, much like an Affliction, I can't use Binding on someone and then voluntarily "dispel" the Binding without an enhancement. I had a look at Terminal Condition for a suitable enhancement, but it allows other people to rescue him from the Bind effect, which isn't what I want. I'm certain I've seen something about this before but I can't find it. :/

Re: Releasing a Binding target early
This is an older thread about afflictions. There doesn't appear to be a canon way to do it, but RPK suggests that +10% isn't unreasonable for an "early terminiation" enhancement for afflictions. I would think the same is true for binding.
Here's another thread, too. Same Song, Different Verse. I think I'd call it "Dependent, +10%" myself, though.

If Switchable is +10% before the fact, I don't see much wrong with it being +10% after the fact.

Re: Releasing a Binding target early
Awesome. +10% it is then.
After all, being able to encase your enemies in inky darkness is cool, but not being able to release them afterwards is kind of lame. Especially when you do it to annoying team-mates who won't stop chattering...
