Not all games are realistic; Flyn's "In some games" qualifier's a pretty important one. There's not many games that actually have concussions or fighter-shaken-by-troll-syndrome. I'm not 100% sure if there are even rules for them in GURPS.

I'm pretty sure "orichalcum Wolverine" isn't realistic on its face.
Bone is living tissue that can't just be wrapped in metal.

Orichalcum is normally attributed with multiple mystical properties, perhaps one of them could be complete bio-compatibility.

That would also raise the possibility of semi-functional (or perhaps even fully functional if orichalcum is 'smart' enough to transmit nerve impulses) prosthetics from orichalcum (or at least the interface point being orichalcum and metal beyond on one side, and flesh beyond on the other).

If I were to burn a Wish on having muscle and flesh replaced with "living" orichalcum, how much DR would be justifiable, assuming the thickness of the "flesh" is relatively unchanged?

Yes, my unholy knight is effectively becoming an orichalcum golem of sorts.

Doesn't Wish give a maximum of X points for an advantage? I think in 3rd. it could give up to 20 points.

I think it would therefore give 20 points worth of orichalcum/adamantium/etc. whatever the setting determines that is.

Wish can also be used for guaranteed success on something that should have some impossible penalty to skill. And since this is likely to go well over 20 points, I'm going with the automatic success thing.

As a GM I would not allow that type of wish wahness on the rules. Wish can grant 25 points of advantages, you are trying to grant yourself and advantage. (Or I would let it happen, but not tell your about the side effects. you get your 75 points of Dr It also comes with a cosmic terminally ill, dx -4 constant agony, and iq -2)

I can never understand this all or nothing mind set, just because you want to add some fantastic concepts to your campaign doesn't mean that you want to throw all reality out the window.

Fiction, no matter how realistic, is ultimately about "what if".

Well assuming he'd be 150lbs as a human he would have a DR of about 311, or at lest give a cover DR of that much. If you go by the rules for damaging armor in Low-Tech he would only protected himself with about 90% of his actual DR or 280. Of course he would also now weight 1305lbs so... be sure to inspect the structural quality of any building you want to enter....

Also since your muscles now have a much higher tensile strength your strength should be much higher as well.... though figuring how much is a bit more complicated heh.

My back of the envelope scratchings suggests ST between 22 ("realistic" end) to 34 ("cinematic" end). As a Homogenous entity, HP should be 4x that, AND you take Injury Tolerance (Homogenous).
