Basicaly enough DR to stop small arms fire, then IT:DR to shrink down the injury from bigger sources is about what you want for I-Scale

Ok, but is DR 10 enough to stop "small arms"? And what kinds of guns are classified as "small arms" and what kinds are not?

That doesn't look like "No Visible Damage".

I typically call a 9mm small arms. As the 9mm auto pistol is listed as 2d+2pi (basic set)

Under GURPS that would be DR is 9 is Resistant and 14 Immune

DR 10 is enough to stop low calibre handguns.
A typical modern infantry weapon does some 5 dice of damage. It does 17 points of damage on average.

They see you just sort of standing there like Superman.

I made a short test against a very heavy mace:

minST 12, 5 lbs, sw+3, cr

Weight +20 lbs: +6 damage
Weight +200 lbs: +12 damage
Weight +2000 lbs: +18 damage
Weight +20000 lbs: +24 damage
Weight +200000 lbs: +32 damage
Weight +2000000 lbs: +38 damage

Calculating the required minST for this 2000005 lbs weapon:

>>> 12 * sqrt ( 2000005.0 / 5 )
7589.4758712311623

Say, ST 7590

That should be 762d+41 then - about 2708 points of damage.

That feels ... too low ... for a weapon that weights more than 1000 tons and is swung like a mace.
Imagine some Uru-metal mace or something like this.

Should be more, or?

Actually, I would think this would look a lot like the Hulk in the first movie. Bullets impacting and visibly rippling his skin without breaking it. Thats probably DR with Flexible or Tough Skin though. If you buy just straight DR (and thus have skin as hard as steel), there is probably no visible effect at all to getting hit. But you wont ricochet any bullet not basically completely stopped by your DR (rather than handled by your Damage Reduction/Regeneration combo). To really seal the deal though, you could go the Monster Hunter route and buy Low Signature (or No Signature) on your DR. At that point you neither look armored nor (because of your Unkillable) look hurt until you keel over dead.

To bounce rifle bullets, DR 30 should be sufficient. DR 10 is good for most pistols. P.117 of Powers has a sidebar with decent guidelines for how much DR you need to stop a particular level of modern weapon.

I call anything man-portable small-arms, generally. Elk cartridge and down, so... at least 7d = DR 25? Anything a APC can shrug off, generally. Doesn't include some HMG rounds, RPGs, etc.
