Climbing out of pits
As hanging by the ledge... (ITL p. 104)
RAW: Roll 4/ST to lift yourself out. 1 hit from exhaustion if failed. Thought: This is really a chin-up, but of course there is armor to consider. So I think i get the 4/ST. There is a spot for jumping, where it said to do a 5/ST+DX for a two hex jump. Maybe a 6/ST+MV would work the same. Allowing for lighter armored people to get out a mite easier? Or, maybe simpler...allow MV 8 or more use 3/ST. Or simpler, just say "You are an unexpected ledge. Listing yourself up ain't easy in a pinch." and just roll the RAW. Just thoughts as I was writing a section for my adventure with it and musing... Last edited by JimmyPlenty; 09-17-2019 at 04:15 AM. |

Re: Climbing out of pits
(This probably belongs in the House Rules sub-forum.)
I don't know that MA would always work well for this. Seems to me difficulty would have to do with encumbrance, including how big the person is. Children in gym shorts have an easier time doing a chin-up than large adults or people laden with gear and armor. |
