Default Re: [Spaceships] How do x-ray laser warheads work in the basic combat system?

I was going to suggest that against X-ray laser warheads the point-defence should perhaps be rolled before they fire. However, unless the PD is so good it can kill the whole salvo, that doesn't have a great deal of effect, because for every halving of the size of the missile salvo you can only expect to reduce the number of beam hits by one (due to the effect of the Rapid Fire Table) - unless you decide that each missile's beams are a separate attack, which 1) means a lot of rolling for big salvoes, 2) massively increases the power of these missiles compared to all others, and 3) makes them work differently to all other attacks.
