I just noticed the HW template is missing both Clerical Investment and Savoir Faire as options. No worries, I'll just buy them with quirk points. But I'm curious: if he's not a noble and he's not a priest, what is he? I mean, what role does he play in the larger society? This is primarily a role-play question.

They are the Templars, the Inquisitors. They are who the chruch sends out to deal with evil. They are not meant to do what a cleric does in society (That which is covered by Clerical Investment), and they don't care about high society. They are the "swords" of their god, and if they have to walk into the throne room and kill the king because it is really a demon in disguise, they will do it, and beat up anyone that gets in the way.

Remember that unlike GURPS, the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game has very limited social traits and roles!

The nominal social trait of clerics is Clerical Investment, which is about blessing holy water (that's why it's cheaper), leading prayer, sanctifying altars, and trading favorably in holy relics. In short, it's about sacraments.

The nominal social trait of holy warriors is Born War-Leader, which is about military command. It comes alongside Rest in Pieces and a Higher Purpose for killing monsters. In short, it's about destroying enemies of the faith.

Clerics are celebrants and seminarians. Holy warriors are crusaders and temple guardians – knights loyal to a god (or mortal cult leader) rather than to a land (or mortal sovereign). They've taken completely different holy orders to the same church.
