Re: [Magic] New IQ/A Spells
Apprentice's Illusion
Illusion Area Duration: 1 Minute Cost: Special Creates previously defined illusions written beforehand. Each illusion can be learned as an average technique, with a +0 penalty for Simple Illusions, -2 penalty for Complex Illusions, and -4 penalty for Perfect Illusions. Each technique may not be learned above Apprentice's Illusion. The cost cast and maintain is copied from the spells they're based on. A caster of Apprentice's Illusion cannot use Artist (Illusion), all such rolls are made by the designer of the technique. Each technique can be created with a successful skill roll of the spell the technique is based on. |

Re: [Magic] New IQ/A Spells
Least Healing (Conditional Injury, Pyramid #3/120)
Healing College Regular Duration: Instant Cost: 2 Time to Cast: 2 seconds This is a healing spell designed for the Conditional Injury system from Pyramid #3/120. This spell heals a Scratch, a Severity -6 injury, immediately relieving any pain or shock. This does nothing for any disease or poison acquired through the wound, but does prevent any later infection. This would be a very popular spell, as Scratches are the single most common type of injury, especially in the rough world of most fantasy settings. Being able to immediately treat Scratches and prevent them from getting infected would do wonders for improving quality of life. Additionally, early treatment could prevent a wide range of chronic conditions, can you heal a tooth cavity? Testing Process 2+2/point Not technically a Least Spell, but it fits here I think. This is a Modular Ability with a base cost of 2 and 2 per point of ability. The ONLY ability that it can swap out is specializations of the Test spell, which requires 1 hour to swap out a spell (automatic or an IQ with haste penalties to do it faster) and requires a grimoire or similar text. Not the most practical of abilities, but appropriate for a healer from a society with dozens or hundreds of possible Test variants. While the Uncomfortably Thick Book of Magical Medical Tests might be substantial enough to count as a shield, I doubt anyone who uses it as intended would approve.
