Re: [OOC] The Marching Storm
So what is the bonus for taking extra time? Can I use the roll I orginally used? Or should I roll over?

Re: [OOC] The Marching Storm
Alright, let us not spoil the game with petty rules on climbing a shabby ladder, shall we? Your characters may choose to take extra time and slowly climb the ladder, giving them a +2 modifier.
So, this would mean that if the soldiers are holding the ladder tight and you're fastened by somebody from up (Ezrael), you have a +4 modifier to your Climbing roll. Non-Climbers would have it at DX-1, then. Include the fact that you can still fail by 2 and just shake a bit. Effectively, nothing happens, but you realize how easy it would be to fall if you don't care. So, with a DX+1 roll, you'll be able to somehow climb up. Solution #2 is Ezrael pulling you up. His ST is crucial here, of course. So, even if you fail by more than 2 on the first roll, Ezrael can still show some muscle and make sure you don't actually hit the ground. But if this happens, I'll require a small Fright Check, just to see how your characters would experience the moment of sudden loss of solid ground beneath them. How does this sound? Marko |

Re: [OOC] The Marching Storm
The only way Grok can get up the ladder is if I roll a crit success...a 1 out of 216 chance. Can I do anything to improve the odds?

Re: [OOC] The Marching Storm
I'm fine with it.
I asked Grok and he begrudgingly agrees if someone suggests it and everyone promises to never talk about it.

I'm going to Now York to join the occupation of Wall street, so my online RP life is forfeit.
Look for a six foot tall guy with a goatee black trench coat and matching fedora in the crowds on youtube...it just might be me. Or better yet, come join me. I dare you. We can game there.

Go Kobold! I've been planning to put some information about that in my signature . Alas, I am in California, but it sounds like we'll be getting our own party going in a few days.
