Exactly, when you think of the game materials that were part of the 'great leap forward' for table top rpg's ca. 75-80, very little of what you remember has to do with the details of rules, other than some broad concepts. The lasting impact was the creative meat - monsters, spells, dungeons, cities.

Thanks! I think we may have mentioned it before, but we're treating the line as a game line. Emphasis on the items that can be used at the table, during a session. It's good to hear our approach is working for some.
