Default Male Chauvinist Pig rules help

Hello, I have a question regarding the Male Chauvinist Pig Monster card

The card states
Please don't quote card text.

Last time we played, a male drew this card. He was unable to defeat him alone and female joined in on the fight.

We had a big argument that we would like some help on - does the female joining in battle make the monster get that +5, or does the +5 only apply to the original person who drew the card to fight the monster who was a male

Thanks so much!

The +5 would kick in this case since the helper's advantages and disadvantages would apply to the combat, but only those advantages or disadvantages you don't already have. The rules cover this under the section Asking For Help:

If you are facing the Wannabe Vampire and a Cleric helps you, he can chase it away automatically. But if you are facing the Drooling Slime and an Elf helps you, the monster’s combat strength is increased by 4 (unless you, too, are an Elf and the monster’s combat strength has already been increased).
