Default Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet

I have designed a ship, but I have an issue with the weapons. The 10cm electromagnetic guns damage is calculating as 3d6x5. I am very new to the spaceship rules, but I am sure this is not correct. Also, the rate of fire is calculating as 2 for one of the Electromagnetic guns even though it should be 1. Does anyone know what the issue may be?

The "Output" sheet will be based on whatever ship is loaded or created in the "Design Table" sheet.

This looks to be an oversight on my part, as the Control Room computers Complexity should be reduced but isn't.

An updated OpenOffice version is long overdue. Unfortunately, I just haven't had the patience to try to get it working.

Spaceships, p. 68 lists dDamage of a 10cm Conventional Warhead ad 3dx5. Keep in mind that's dDamage, meaning it's the equivalent of 30dx5 of regular damage.

As for the RoF, it looks like I'm incorrectly applying the Improved option for Beam Weapons to conventional guns.

Having looked at it again, this isn't so much an "incorrect" application as it is a possible errata, where I had to make a choice and choose for Improved to affect guns (and thus double their RoF). On Spaceships p. 58 the table listing for RoF mentions that Beams or guns that are Improved have their RoF doubled. So while Improved is not listed explicitly as a Gun option on p. 28-29, it is implied on p. 58 and I decided to apply it.

Like with beams, there is no downside to being Improved - no extra cost or reduction in capabilities - so it is automatically applied if the weapon is +1 TL after introduction.

This program was made for the 4e spaceships books correct? Because unless i am crazy the damage on page 68 for a 10cm gun is listed at 6d6×25 dDam.

It's 3d×5 in my copy of the book, freshly-reacquired from W23 to make sure. It's also 3d×5 in the errata and in the print edition, which makes me think you've still got the very first edition of the PDF and not the latest version — go hit W23 and re-download it.

Are you sure that you read that right? Mine lists 12cm at 6d×3 (equivalent to 3d×6), and 10cm at 3d×5 — and the progression above and below that indicates that, yes, it should be +3d dDam per 2cm increment.

Yup, Spaceships has had extensive errata. Where possible I try to make sure the sheet is updated to the errata.

I believe that was a typo on my part. The sheet is showing the correct 3dx5 for a 10cm gun, but when I went to explain it I incorrectly wrote 3dx6 for some reason.

Despite the small number of changes listed, this is actually a pretty significant update as adding the System Quality modifiers affected huge swaths of the sheet.

Version 2.0 Release Candidate 22

-Variety of bug fixes
-Fixed bug where Electromenchanical Computers option wasn't reducing Computer Complexity
-Fixed bug where Campaign Name would not be loaded correctly from a saved ship
-Added new page to the Optional Rules for applying Equipment Quality modifiers to ship systems
-Added System Quality to ship system and weapon mount options

-Updated Optional Rules PDF with new rules.

You can download the spreadsheet here:
