Some to rolls to try and figure out what he means. Hazardous Materials magical vs 14 got 6, Hidden lore (Demons) vs 15 got 9, (magical writings) vs 14 got 12, Occultism vs 15 got 8 and thaumatology vs 18 got 12. She'll also try searching her backpack with her default of 12-5?=7 got 5.

Michelle thinks that a soulstone is either:

1. What a person's soul resides in and is tethered to their mortal body.

2. A piece of sculpture belonging to an elven art style.

3. A particularly painful kidney stone.

4. A currency used in Hell. May be related to #1.

Without knowing the language of origin, there's really no way to tell which meaning the Rat King intends.

Cast away she does. When she's finished, she hears Athelard scream as though he's being torn limb from limb. If you look for the screams, you can't see him. All you see in that direction is the other giant rat. It appears to be mating.

I'm going to wait a while and see if Dorin is able to post. We also have a new player incoming, so it won't hurt to wait a little while.

It certainly appears to be demonic! It was theorized in an ancient text you once read that this effect can occur in animals who eat their own kind, if exposed to sufficient dark forces in the water they drink. The dominant theory, though, was that this was caused by not sacrificing virgins to the volcano god at the exact right time of day during the vernal equinox.
