Many thanks to Steven for allowing the update! This really shows the power of the e23/PDF distribution model.

The changes were motivated directly by the discussion on this thread, and with Steven and SJG's permission, collaboration, and blessing, the article was tweaked.

That will, however, be the LAST tweak. One does not beg the indulgence of the publishing gods too often. Tempt fate, we shall not.

Thanks again to NineDaysDead, Langy, Refplace, and Vierasmarius for a lot of value-added discussion that led to these adjustments.

Okay, I'm late to the party, but my review for this issue is posted here.

I hope this doesn't qualify as a necro-post. I've been wondering the same thing for a long time. I would love to use Abstract Wealth, but have no idea how to use it during character creation. Has anyone found a half-decent method to create characters while using Abstract Wealth?

I would let the characters start with the usual values for the 20% of starting wealth.

I try to find an equivalent Wealth level in the RAW and use that as the starting wealth. It requires a bit of fudging, since the point values and the descriptions diverge a bit, e.g. "Working poor" for -20 points in Abstract Wealth and "Poor" for -15 points in B25, but it's workable.

That said, I would love expanded rules on this topic that incorporate starting wealth, Independent Income, and Debt.
