As it stands, a Thief can pry away the Thumbtacks deftly enough to be able to return them after stealing the other Item was being protected all with one roll of the die. The Thumbtacks are also not immune to theft by a Thief.

I say as it stands because Andrew and/or I probably need to take this up a level to see what the designed intent was with respect to blending. This assumes that Andrew hasn't already adjusted for this in the Cheat With Both Hands reprint.

No Monsters have been written that have a special bonus against the Brain. When combined with another Class (via Super Munchkin), if a Monster which has a bonus or special ability against that second Class, those bonuses and abilities can be ignored. I think I'm saying that correctly. . .

I haven't made any adjustments as no adjustments are necessary: the Thumbtacks card says explicitly that they protect against Curses and Bad Stuff. It does not say anything about theft, and so they do not protect against theft.

One other question. If I use the Thumbtacks and another shoe, does the Thumbtacks protect the other shoe from a curse? (that would remove a shoe)

Yes. That's what the card says.

Do I understand correctly, that player don't lose Thumbtacks even if bad stuff is death?

There are two steps here:

1) Bad Stuff: You are dead. That sucks. We'll miss you.
2) Now that you are dead, your opponents get to loot your corpse.

The Bad Stuff doesn't *directly* cause the loss of the Thumbtacks, and so they can't protect against it.
