Default Shape Earth+Earth to Air=Stone Armor?

Could I use a combination of the Shape Earth spell and Earth to Air spell to create stone armor to wear for as long as the spells last?

What is the point of the Earth to Air spell in this?
That would just be destroying the armor. Unless your talking about a sealed suit and need to breath?

Well, I was thinking that if I take stone from the ground, the armor would technically still be rooted to the ground, so I would need to destroy a little part of it so the person could walk freely. Is that wrong?

Ah.
The Shape Earth spell would handle all of that.

Probably, but you'd be limited to Move 1 (because that's how fast Shaped Stone moves) unless you're strong enough to carry the stone armor.

Also, by the logic in Shape Fire, you probably have to take a Concentrate maneuver to reshape the stone. That would further limit you to taking a Step if you wanted to move within the stone armor, unless you have Compartmentalized Mind or Altered Time Rate.

I would wanna make the armor so that it has joints at the joints. Basically, I wanna make the armor so that it is actual armor, just made of stone.

In that case you just want Shape Earth, Earth to Stone, and an Armory roll. Might also want to look into the Lighten enchantment, as any stone armor thick enough to be useful will be pretty heavy.

That would be doable but like making a fine crafted item take goo skill rolls in aromoury.
The joints would be more brittle then metal as well and possibly not wear right.
still have the weight issue as well. Stone is heavy.

If you make stone armour as plates, in a similar thickness to metal armour, it's going to shatter really easily.

Low-Tech, p106, has some rules for stone armour. It's double the weight of metal - implying it's much thicker - and semi-ablative, as described on page B47.

Stone armour thick enough to ignore blows will be far too heavy to move in, which is why people up-thread were assuming you were going to use Shape Earth to move in it. Which would be terribly slow.
