Default Misdirected Jump Table - limited directions?

Just noticed on the Misdirected Jump Table, GT p 120.

Code:
Roll Deviation Distance
2 0 degrees 1d/2
3 30 deg. Starboard 1d
4 30 deg. Port 1d
5 30 deg. Starboard 2d
6 30 deg. Port 2d
7 60 deg. Starboard 3d
8 180 degrees 3d
9 60 deg. Port 4d
10 60 deg. Port 4d
11 30 deg. Starboard 5d
12 60 deg. Starboard 5d
Roll 2d twice, once for each column
Is this an errata, or is there some reason that misjumps can't go at 90 or 120 degrees port or starboard?

I checked the errata listings and the ebook version, no changes.

I would guess the 6 option are the 6 side of the subsector map hex. (cf the map on p122).

0° is front hex
180° is rear hex
30° is front side hex
60° is rear side hex

But it contradict the text "The deviation is away from the intended direction of the jump."

In GDW, it was 1d6 (one of the six directions possible on the hex grid).

Also, the table seem oddly unbalanced... it would be interesting to map the odds and average deviation results.

edit : here is the probability table, and it is not as unbalanced at it appeared at first glance :

0 2,8 %
30p 22,2 %
30s 22,3 %

180 13,9 %
60p 19,4 %
60s 19,5 %
