demi-god racial template

Has anyone created a demi-god racial template for a Percy Jackson like game?

Eh, I'm not sure I could pin down enough common characteristics to all demi-gods to have enough of a general Template to be worth bothering.

Still by basic principles, Jackson-sty demigods are interfertile with ordinary humans without obvious magical intervention. They are also all (that we've seen) relatively healthy and combat ready.

So something like St+2, DX +1 and HT +2 with Fit and Combat Reflexes might cover some basics. Dyslexia (all but Ancient Greek) and Impulsive would also apply to Jackson types specifically. I'm not even sure that the Roman kids are dyslexic. They can spell "ELEPHANT" okay. :)

The rest seems to be pretty lineage specific with sometimes large discrepancies involving the power level of the kids of the Big 3 and the rest.

I'm not specifically familiar with the movies (or books?), but if my understanding is right, they're children of the Greek Gods - so somewhat like White Wolf's Scion with the Dodekatheon (Greek) Pantheon

You might get some mileage from the Demigod template from this thread by seasong, not specifically Greek mythology, but definitely a good basis for generic demi-gods.

It's books and movies with the movies not following the books all that closely. Still, they're both Modern day with the half-human children of the Greek gods living on Earth and passing fro normal until they hit puberty and monsters start trying to kill them.

They all have powers and quirks that reflect their parent's qualities. Annabeth for instance is a bit geeky, a clever strategist and afraid of spiders because she is Athena's child.

Sometimes the backstory is a bit odd. It required a bit of work getting a child of Athena. Hera can have children but can't have bastards so having half-bloods from her is difficult. Apollo would have lots of children and they would be good at poetry and art, but more to the point at archery.

So, it sounds like the closest we can get to a general template would be to allocate a bunch of points for thematic Advantages and Disadvantages, unless we want to write up a separate template for each specific God/dess...

Also, isn't the Greek myth about Athena and spiders about her completely pwning somebody who was somewhat cheeky to her and, in the process, creating them by turning her into the first one (presumably pregnant, because otherwise how'd that work? Unless Zeus was feeling really experimental that day; he'll try anything once)..? Not sure where they're getting the phobia...

You'd have to do it by god. Other than some common traits of adventure-ready normal humans all the truly special abilities are on a basis of who you're descended from.

Except maybe for Precognitive dreams. All the demi-god characters seem to get those. Children of Athena have been getting ones about a Giant Monster Spider that wants revenge for several thousand years and the casualty count has been significant. The Gods hold grudges for a long 5time and their enemies do too.

Seems like a template would follow more "Choose what traits you want" than actual hardlined stats if we're looking at Greek Style.

For example, Achilles, Perseus, Hercules, etc, all varied greatly, but what is available to them might be limited.

However, to me, this is like building a Super. You don't have a "Super" template, you just have guidelines.

Specifically the class of Super would be more like a themed Mutant with common choices like "Brick" not being available. For example, Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon has Water Powers and lots of them but phsyically is an above average human.
