Javelins thrown by hand weigh 2 pounds and use the missile weapons range adjustment.

If you start throwing real-world weights around, the whole weapon/armor table transforms quite a bit...
More seriously, these are neanderthal weapons. And the targets in the test were unmoving hay bales. It seems to me that moving humanoid targets would not only give a DX modifier (say maybe +4 for an unmoving target), but also would be not just linearly less likely to hit at greater distance, because there is more time for the target to move someplace other than it was when the attack was launched. |
