Default DF7 - Divine Guidance on the Spell Lists

I've been parsing the Spell Lists for the different God from DF7-Clerics into Excel, and I've found a couple of errata (submitted), and some omissions.

First, the Errata:
  • Under Hunter-Priest Spells, Sense Life is listed for PI1 and PI2
  • Under Sea Priest Spells, Beast Summoning is listed for PI5 and PI6

Second, the Omissions:
There are a couple of dozen 'Clerical' Spells of which all but a couple of the Gods/Realms grant access too. Some of those omissions seem perfectly reasonable, while others don't seem quite as obvious as to why they are omitted from the Spell Lists.
I'm not saying I think they are errors, only that I can't necessarily see any particular reason.
  • Bind Spirit (any) is accessible to all except Fire Priests; - Command Spirit (any) is available to All Priests (including Fire).
  • Bravery is not accessible for Artificer Priests (which I can understand), but also not available to Sea Priests (which I don't).
  • Coolness is not accessible to Earth or Sun, but is accessible to Fire. (Cold however is not accessible to Fire or most Priests)
  • Final Rest is not accessible for Sea Priests. (This one does seem like an omission with the whole burial at sea thing, or is that a far more modern idea than I realise?)
  • Resist Pain is not accessible to Night or Sea Priests.
  • Resist Poison is not accessible to Night or Storm Priests.
  • Seeker is not accessible to Earth or Fire Priests.
  • Shield is not accessible to Love or Night Priests.
  • Suspend Curse is not accessible to Storm Priests.
  • Vigil is not accessible to Fire Priests.
These are the least explicable (to me anyway) of the omissions. The above Spells are on the Spell Lists for DF1 - Clerics and for all types of Priests other than those listed above.

I'm going to go away and read the Spell Descriptions and the God/Realm descriptions to see if I can find any illumination.

Omissions part 2 - I've found a few minutes to produce a list 'omissions' by Spell/Realm.

There are 16 Spells which all but 1 (of 15) Realms grant access to:
  • Banish – Not granted by: Agriculture
  • Bind Spirit (any type) – Not granted by: Fire
  • Command – Not granted by: Artificer
  • Cure Disease – Not granted by: Love
  • Drain Mana – Not granted by: Love
  • Final Rest – Not granted by: Sea
  • Great Healing – Not granted by: Fire
  • Neutralize Poison – Not granted by: Love
  • Purify Air – Not granted by: Earth
  • Purify Water – Not granted by: Fire
  • Repel Spirits – Not granted by: Hunter
  • Resist Disease – Not granted by: Artificer
  • Share Vitality – Not granted by: Artificer
  • Suspend Curse – Not granted by: Storm
  • Turn Spirit – Not granted by: Love
  • Vigil – Not granted by: Fire
There are 12 Spells which all but 2 (of 15) Realms grant access to:
  • Astral Block – Not granted by: Agriculture and Sea
  • Bravery – Not granted by: Artificer and Night
  • Cleansing – Not granted by: Earth and Sea
  • Coolness – Not granted by: Earth and Sun
  • Might – Not granted by: Fire and Night
  • Relieve Madness – Not granted by: Artificer and Earth
  • Resist Lightning – Not granted by: Love and Night
  • Resist Pain – Not granted by: Night and Sea
  • Resist Poison – Not granted by: Night and Storm
  • Seeker – Not granted by: Earth and Fire
  • Shield – Not granted by: Love and Night
  • Turn Zombie – Not granted by: Artificer and Love
As an alternative view, here is the List of ‘missing’ Spells by Realm:
  • Agriculture – Missing: Banish and Astral Block
  • Artificer – Missing: Command, Resist Disease, Share Vitality, Bravery, Relieve Madness and Turn Zombie
  • City – Missing: none
  • Death – Missing: none
  • Earth – Missing: Purify Air, Cleansing, Coolness, Relieve Madness, Seeker
  • Fire – Missing: Bind Spirit (any), Great Healing, Purify Water, Might, Seeker
  • Hunter – Missing: Repel Spirits
  • Love – Missing: Cure Disease, Drain Mana, Neutralize Poison, Turn Spirit, Resist Lightning, Shield, Turn Zombie
  • Healing – Missing: none
  • Messenger/Rogue – Missing: none
  • Night – Missing: Bravery, Might, Resist Lightning, Resist Pain, Resist Poison, Shield
  • Sea – Missing: Final Rest, Astral Block, Cleansing, Resist Pain
  • Storm – Missing: Suspend Curse, Resist Poison
  • Sun – Missing: Coolness
  • War – Missing: none
I can see why Artificer and Love might have a more restricted scope and therefore miss out on some spells.

For some spells I can see why they are outside of some realms, like Turn Zombie (admittedly outside the 2 realms I see as more restricted in scope!)

Opposing Elements (no Purify Air for Earth, or Purify Water for Fire) also make sense.

Other than the need to make a cut somewhere on the Spell Lists for each Realm, can anyone make any suggestions as to why these Spells common to almost all Realms are missing from one or two ?
