DF7 - Divine Guidance on the Spell Lists
I've been parsing the Spell Lists for the different God from DF7-Clerics into Excel, and I've found a couple of errata (submitted), and some omissions.
First, the Errata:
Second, the Omissions: There are a couple of dozen 'Clerical' Spells of which all but a couple of the Gods/Realms grant access too. Some of those omissions seem perfectly reasonable, while others don't seem quite as obvious as to why they are omitted from the Spell Lists. I'm not saying I think they are errors, only that I can't necessarily see any particular reason.
I'm going to go away and read the Spell Descriptions and the God/Realm descriptions to see if I can find any illumination. |

Omissions part 2 - I've found a few minutes to produce a list 'omissions' by Spell/Realm.
There are 16 Spells which all but 1 (of 15) Realms grant access to:
For some spells I can see why they are outside of some realms, like Turn Zombie (admittedly outside the 2 realms I see as more restricted in scope!) Opposing Elements (no Purify Air for Earth, or Purify Water for Fire) also make sense. Other than the need to make a cut somewhere on the Spell Lists for each Realm, can anyone make any suggestions as to why these Spells common to almost all Realms are missing from one or two ? |
