Default 2012 Report in the Wanting

Ooo, a fresh new year. Once again, I get to kvetch an absurdly early, ridiculously impatient request for the 2011 Report.

Well, it's been a week! Obviously the books were closed out on Tuesday, right? Steve's got nothing else on his plate. Where's the report?

I think we're going to put a stake (heh heh) in this right now -- locking the thread until the 2012 report is posted. Which, we hope, will not be long.

Nice to see that the company is doing well, but it's sad that GURPS is only mentioned once, and that's when speaking on how many SJG originals have been added to Pyramid this year... I guess it's not even a blip in the radar, but SJG has never been an "RPG only" company. It's a game company, and produces games, among those, GURPS. With the current state of the industry, I understand moving to more profitable cash cows, but it seems to have slipped completely off the radar.

Now, currently GURPS is releasing a steady stream of content, and well, it suits my needs perfectly. No news->good news?

It's great news for SJG and 2012 looks like it's going to be another good year (at least until 2012 Armageddon day). The only depressing thing is we never see GURPS on the priorities, meh, kinda used to it now. As long as SJG maintains the status quo with GURPS then I'm happy(ish). PoD(in colour) and a couple more chunky releases the likes of Discworld would shift me to very happy. A full colour epic bestiary, and the long awaited vehicles design book come to mind.

Munchkin on XBox Live is going to be a real hit.

Look at it this the pointed out a lot of the e32 stuff was GURPS, and one of their priites was to increase the web presences which means more GURPS sales.

As SJG is a sole owner company with no shareholders, it doesn't have to pay dividends. What does SJG do with its net profits? What was its net profit? Of course, SJ can say it's none of my business.

I expect SJGames does what every other business with a single owner does: Profits go into expanding the business; anything leftover from there (the net profit) goes into the owners pocket. That's pretty much what happens to all profits; dividends are just a way of dividing profits among multiple owners.

I expect he would, as it really is none of your business.

Sad of course GURPS was barely mentioned but not surprised.
Glad about the presence of Munchkin in Target and some of the other high profile announcements. Including a mention on CNN Money.
Really glad about the increasing Royalty reports. That means that people are making money which means there likely to keep producing.
