maps of cities - free?
I have the basics of a nice campaign storyline, focused heavily on the PC back stories and managed to get them worked out in the character assistant. But building the whole mess from scratch, ugh.
I am probably like most hopelessly lazy/over committed GMs and would love to get a free rebuilt city/town with maps, personalities etc. (even the shortcuts of maps made with Excel found in gurps for dummies are too much for me). I am hoping that some of you will be willing to share secrets/tips tricks/ideas. and did i mention free or creative commons licensed? did i mention editable text/graphical format? could i also get a pony? |

http://www.irony.com/webtools.html http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/map_sites/map_sites.html (check out the historical maps...it includes road maps of about 100 cities from the early 20th century) I hope this helps. Mark |

Also, ask around at http://cartographersguild.com as the guild members are maps nuts, know plenty of places where good maps hide out and may even be willing to help whip a map or two up for you.
Also, check out this dynamic city generator. It's a very useful little tool and may just be exactly what you need (not to mention it's free). |
