Wouldn't it be a pity if something happened to them?
That line made me imagine them racing their snow across the Australian Outback. Just to make it challenging.

As for me, I grew to manhood and in the fullness of time, I became the leader, the Chief of the Great Northern Tribe. And the Snow Warrior? That was the last we ever saw of him. He lives now, only in my memories...

The future is stupid.
Every time I hear about something like this, I always wonder if the person is serious, or is trying to make some sort of political statement (or perhaps just make some money or get their 15 minutes).

Just to use them in a ritual to summon the greatest rain to date across the fiery plains.

Curiously, we occasionally get snow in summer, in our mountainous regions. Usually as a result of the extremely odd weather systems that our fires can generate.

In 2006 and one year in the 1980s there was a white Christmas at Thredbo.

If you are running a Weird War II type campaign this bit from Wikipedia seems like it should mean something

According to Robert McFarlane, the US Navy built the hulls of some PT boats partially from 3,000-year-old white cedar logs recovered from sphagnum bog in New Jersey.
Using 3000 year old wood should have some mystical meaning.

Al Jazeera presents a 25-minute documentary on a master forger. "He's known as The Doctor." (No, not that one. It'd be an easy job with psychic paper.)

Some flavorful details on the trade for a reasonably modern spy/thriller game, plus a detailed NPC background.

A haunted clown-themed motel in the Nevada desert next to a graveyard.

What could possibly go wrong?

(I'd be tempted just to play this one straight. Simple player paranoia and genre savvy metagaming would be enough to create all the atmosphere and fill up game time once you describe the place where their car coincidentally broke down. Just sit back and watch the fun. And if anyone complains that the setting is ridiculous, just show 'em the video.)

The Economist spent two pages on The Museum of Disgusting Foods in Sweden.

My first question was about the gift shop. Then the caf.

Reindeer herders in Finland are using reflective paint to keep cars from hitting the reindeer. I can see the ghost reindeer legends starting. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart...int-180949792/
