Still happens regularly to me. Since it seemed to move when the US went onto daylight saving time, I suspect it's a connectivity issue upstream of SJG.

Yes, this is a regular occurrence for me right around 4:10 am EST; and lasts for about 6-10 minutes.

I've been seeing trouble for the last 24 hours - unable to load the sjgames.com site at all. Forums seem to have started working again, but I'm having trouble - some kind of database error - when trying to post on another topic. (I'm hoping this one works.)

I had the same problem. Impossible to get SJGames Forums for about 24 hours and now that I can do it again, several of my posts (as well as posts of others to which they answered) just disappeared.

Did the Forums crash and did the maintenance technicians download a back-up? Or did I become insane and only dreamed writing those posts?

The site has been reluctant to load all day, and it Just crashed on me minutes ago.

They have posted a notice at the top of the forum pages:

Our primary server had issues at our hosting provider and had to be restored from backup.
Posts made after 5/20/2018 11:59PM CDT (UTC -5) and before 5/22/2018 3:00pm CDT may be missing and are not expected to return.

They are obviously still working on getting things sorted out. I noticed that posts are going in even with the DB errors, but it isn't updating the flags to mark the latest posts (no doubt related to the DB errors).

I believe patience is in order.

Yes. It worked... twice. ;-)

And, obviously, my erased posts are lost for good. No matter. They weren't really important.

I'm happy that the Forums work again.
