NanoSpeed, the new MicroMachine scale
For those that like 3D models on the original CW scale, check out your local Wal-Mart for NanoSpeed cars. They're by a Canadian company, Spin Master LTD; about $1.50 per car. They are distorted and a little oversized, but represent a 1" x 1/2" fairly well.
The cars are spring motorized and zip around crazy fast, but I'm betting some of y'all that like MM-scale might enjoy basing and using these. I posted a couple of photos in my Minis folder : https://picasaweb.google.com/1089163...9/CarWarsMinis I haven't converted any with tiny weapons yet :)

Re: NanoSpeed, the new MicroMachine scale
I will check them out. I used micromachines as soon as I found them. They are really close to CW scale.

Re: NanoSpeed, the new MicroMachine scale
Matchbox/Hot Wheels sized vehicles is my mainstay, and translates to 3X scale.
For the summertime gaming conventions, I also have a set of 12X scale cars and scenery to go with it. It makes for a show stopper of a game. Drive offensively. |

Re: NanoSpeed, the new MicroMachine scale
I picked up a pack of Nano Speed cars today. They are indeed not quite realistic in proportions but they are close to the 1" x 1/2" classic Car Wars scale. And I believe they have been enchanted by the Canadian warlocks who conjured them... that is the only explanation as to why a man my age is having this much fun with the little bastards!
