Eye patch transmitter
I have a question about this item (rick and morty munchkin), can I discard a monster from hand to gain extra +5, if I discard that item then do I still keep +5 bonus in that combat. Item says: Once per combat, you may discard a monster from your hand for an extra +5.

The general rule is that if a card in play gives you a combat bonus for discarding another card, then you will retain that bonus even if you lose that first card that allowed the bonus, assuming you did the discard before losing that card.

Bearing in mind that you can't voluntarily discard Items - if something makes you lose the EPT after you have discarded the monster, you keep the extra +5 but lose all other bonuses from the EPT.
