Re: Some Custom Quirks
I had a roommate in college who decided it would be a good idea to do something like this as a joke... for two freakin' weeks. At first it was funny, but by day ten I was trying to figure out if killing him could qualify as justifiable homicide.

Re: Some Custom Quirks
I'd classify that as an OPH, personally, good for -5.

Re: Some Custom Quirks
Might depend on how frequently he does it. If he peppers his conversation with it, then yes, it's an Odious Personal Habit. If it's only once per conversation, that's a Quirk. Of course, for somebody he sees frequently like a girlfriend or (in Xilodel's case), a roommate, it'll still be plenty annoying even at Quirk level.

Re: Some Custom Quirks
Excessive politeness you're formally polite even in situations where politeness isn't called for and with close friends and family with whom politeness isn't typical.
Honestly, lots of my custom quirks are long and descriptive and aren't a nice, clean one or two word description.

MILF Hunter.
I saw this Quirk on a character's sheet and had to "steal" it. |

Re: Some Custom Quirks
An NPC quirk I once mentioned on this forum before:
Strips While Asleep: Like sleepwalking, but your only activity when asleep is to take off all the clothes. Happens every time. Actually, pretty inconvenient in DF, and occasionally funny in normal games. Also, in our gaming group, being bisexual is usually considered a quirk, at least for females it is. (For the Hashrul, it was considered not.) |

Not to derail the thread. Here's a few more quirks! It's not fun if it's too easy The character will only attempt to hit on people he knows are already in a relationship. Generally, characters with this quirk will only target people who are already in failing relationships or are reasonably certain the significant other poses no threat. E.g., Most people know not to try and steal the girlfriend of a battle hardened assassin with Bad Temper and a black belt in three different martial arts. (This quirk is generally incompatable with Lecherousness, but works well with Overconfidence). They're not THAT much better than me A form of quirk level of Jealousy. You hold people with a certain desirable trait you do not possess in comtempt. This must be a relatively broad trait, such those with higher IQs, more Wealth, a better Status, or better Appearance. Such people occasionally react at -1 due to the off-putting demeanor you have around them. |
