You mentioned that some of the Mythos books are public domain (so I am guessing are likely on Gutenberg or such), any you recommend starting with?

Are you completely new to his writing? If so, a good intro might be in order. You could try this online one, How to read Lovecraft.... Since you're expressly interested in the Mythos, I'd say to start with some of the short stories, like The Rats in the Walls, or Pickman's Model, or The Colour out of Space. Call of Cthulhu is the seminal work of the Mythos, which you'll definitely want to read, and from there, proceed as you see fit. Dagonbytes is my goto site for online reading, since my collection is missing a lot of the stories, or when I need a quick reference.

Close to it yeah. I have only read a couple things and that long ago.

Thanks for the links!

Yeah, they are there and all over the place really. I love things that deal with dreams and sleep and the like so I highly suggest the Dream Cycle. The Shadow Over Innsmouth is good too. If you have time, just read every thing he's done. It's not that much really (though I read 1,800 words per minute so what might be nothing for me, might be a lot to you), but worth reading if you can.

Gamemaster's Guidepost: Metagame Traits or Impulse Buys?

So what should you use when starting a new campaign, luck or impulse points? Well, both have their good and their bad, today I talk about how I've used both in the past and how I view them.

Technopathy should mean "feeling of craft" or something, I think. It's the supernatural ability to tell if an artifact is good or crap!

I knew a gunny who could do that by "whistling" and listening to the sound it made against whatever he was holding or touching. I don't know if he was hyper-observant or something, but he was almost always right. Diagnosed a compression issue in a car by doing that.

Triple Threat: Gullinbursti

The Norse have some weird mythical critters. I mean the Celts do have that bacon of immortality and everything and the Norse only got apples...but damn, golden boars with lazer eyes? Snorri Snurlson must have been in his cups when he wrote that up. "Yeah, they'll never believe this sh*te, I'll just scribble this down." Regardless...here, have a near-divine boar that's nearly invulnerable and shoots lasers (pew pew!).
